I am a retired online school teacher. I love family history. Since 2007, I have spent much of my time providing part-time support for the world's largest free family history site https://familysearch.org This is very rewarding. I have helped others with the Family Tree and related FamilySearch products.
In 2010-2018 I served in the Edmonton Riverbend Family History Centre. I have a FHC blog at Bill's Family History Center Blog For information the Latter-day Saints and family history click https://www.comeuntochrist.org/

This past two weeks I have been working on Judy's Kinney line. This line has been considered somewhat of a dead end, because Judy's father, Ernest, said that his father was born in Ireland. And many years later, Judy found the birth of a James Edward Kenny and was certain that it was the birth of her grandfather. My research disagrees with both, but I am confident that I am right. Why? Edward James Kinney died when Ernest was 11 years old, so it is likely that they never discussed Edward's birth. My chain of research goes like this: There is no dispute that this is Edward's death: DEATH Certified Copy of an Entry of Death Pursuant to the Births and Deaths Registration Act 1953 Registration District West Derby 1921 Death in the Sub-District of Everton North West in the County of Liverpool CB No. 220 When and where died: Fourteenth August 1921, 130 Beacon Lane VD Name and surname: Edward James Kinney Sex: Male Age: 41 Occupation: Cutter in Rubber Hosepipe Works Cause of Death: 1.
