I am a retired online school teacher. I love family history. Since 2007, I have spent much of my time providing part-time support for the world's largest free family history site https://familysearch.org This is very rewarding. I have helped others with the Family Tree and related FamilySearch products.
In 2010-2018 I served in the Edmonton Riverbend Family History Centre. I have a FHC blog at Bill's Family History Center Blog For information the Latter-day Saints and family history click https://www.comeuntochrist.org/

This last few weeks has seen a major change in my wife's computer use: from none at all, to the point where she is spending an hour or two on the computer every day. What made the difference? Judy decided she wanted to be a volunteer on the familysearch.org indexing project! http://www.familysearchindexing.org/ She is getting very good at it. I have been doing indexing for the past few weeks, and suggested that she could do it too. You might consider it yourself. You can do as little or as much as you want. The only downside I found was the time it takes to download the indexing software over a slow telephone line.
