I am a retired online school teacher. I love family history. From 2007-2020, I spent much of my time providing part-time support for the world's largest free family history site https://familysearch.org This is very rewarding. I have helped others with the Family Tree and related FamilySearch products.
In 2010-2018 I served in the Edmonton_Alberta_Riverbend_Family_History_Centre..I have a FHC blog at Bill's Family History Center Blog Since 2020 I have been a family history consultant for Edmonton Alberta North Stake. Gone With The Wind...
Sometimes we get so interested in earlier history of our families that we forget to record our present-day history. In July, Cranbrook, British Columbia was hit by a violent wind storm that ripped large trees from the ground and left people without electrical power for 8 days. My brother's property looked almost like a war zone.

This was sent to me by my brother Lloyd. "Here are Pictures of the Wind Storm that went through Cranbrook B.C. on Friday July 20th. It took two days to clean up the mess. The Pictures are of Reg Buchanan’s Place." http://www.flickr.com/photos/36430631@N04/ As you can see from the photo above, German metal was no match for BC Fir.
